Squatters
Imagine you're in a basketball game. (Come on really think on it.) You've been doing pretty well in the game. You're very athletic and you usually don't have to try as hard to make baskets, you give it just a minimal try and you score sometimes and sometimes you don't. Now imagine your daddy (or any person who means the WORLD to you) is sitting in the bleachers at your game. The score is tied and the ball is passed to you. You run down court and right before you shoot the ball, you squat down to jump higher than you've ever jumped before. You want to make this winning basket no matter how awkward you look, no matter how far down you have to squat, no matter how tired you are. You're daddy is watching and you want him to leap off the seat when you score. This is the same thing we should be doing for God. Kill your flesh! Squat! No matter how awkward the situation may seem, God is going to elevate you from Glory to Glory to Glory. We want God to say WELL DONE when we make it to heaven. Let's make our heavenly father leap off his throne with excitement about how we are living our lives.

Tiff this is sooo good. That is so true!!!! Sometimes we will do whatever it takes to please man but wont do nearly as much to please God. It is time for everybody to get in position and get ready for God to move us from Glory to Glory. To start expecting the unexpected. I love the part where you said "Kill your flesh"!!!! Once we do that then omg!!!!!! We will really see God move in an awesome way!!!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteAlethia,
ReplyDeleteGod can do so much when we decide to move out of the way. Somtimes I get mad at myself for standing in his way, because it only prolongs my blessing. I block myself from getting all that he has for me. So I have decided to squat no matter how weird I look. :)
I like how you made this like a basketball game! Tiff I get mad at myself for standing in the way to. Everyone should want to make God proud.
